Nazi Germany
Nazi Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, was a clear example of an autocracy, where all power was in the hands of one leader. After becoming chancellor, Hitler quickly destroyed Germany’s democratic system, banned opposing political parties, and used propaganda, censorship, and violence to maintain control.
North Korea
North Korea is one of the most extreme autocracies in the world today. Since 1948, it has been ruled by the Kim family, with leadership passing from Kim Il Sung to his son Kim Jong Il, and now to his grandson Kim Jong Un. Russia
